VIKTORIA DRUBE: An Artist of Light, the Sea and Modern Luxury

There are artists who create paintings. And there are artists who create a state of mind.

The work of Viktoria Drube is impossible to mistake for anyone else’s. Yet the artist’s journey began long before France.
Viktoria was born in Kherson and grew up in Odesa, where from an early age she was surrounded by the sea and the radiant light of the southern cities. She received a classical art education at the M.B. Grekov Odesa Art School, where she studied painting, composition and design.
In the early 2000s, her artistic journey continued in Germany. Her studies in Berlin opened the door to the world of digital art, visual communications, multimedia and contemporary technologies. Even then, Viktoria was drawn to the idea of bringing art, design and space together - an approach that has since become one of the foundations of her artistic practice.
Life later took her to Australia, where she continued her artistic education at the legendary Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, one of the country’s oldest art schools, renowned for its academic traditions and rigorous artistic training.
This international experience shaped Viktoria Drube’s distinctive artistic language - one in which classical training meets contemporary design, architectural thinking and an ongoing exploration of new materials.
Today, her work exists at the intersection of painting, sculpture and decorative art. Viktoria works with epoxy resin, crystals, textural elements and sophisticated multi-layered techniques, creating remarkable depth and a captivating interplay of light.
Light is not merely an artistic device in her work. It becomes its principal protagonist.
“I create my works only when I am in a state of absolute inner harmony and filled with energy.

It is important for me to preserve that feeling on the canvas and convey it to the viewer. Each painting becomes a reflection of joy, inspiration and emotional balance. I like to believe that my work fills a space with light and positive energy, helping us pause amid the rush of everyday life and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. If a person feels a sense of lightness, calm and happiness when looking at a painting, then I know I have succeeded in conveying exactly what I put into it from the very beginning,” says the artist.
This philosophy can be felt in every work.
Viktoria Drube’s paintings do more than decorate an interior. They create an atmosphere. This is why her works feel equally at home in contemporary Mediterranean residences and in classical interiors, private collections, boutique hotels, yacht clubs and prestigious corporate spaces.
Her passion for interior design has become a natural extension of her love of art.
“I always think not only about the painting itself, but also about how it will interact with the space, the light and the architecture of the interior. I love the idea of art becoming part of its surroundings while at the same time retaining its own individuality.”
This approach has already earned international recognition. Viktoria’s clients include private collectors and commercial spaces across Europe and Australia. One notable example is her collaboration with Dolans Bay Marina in Sydney.
